Punkin’ was my first kitty and I believe I was her only human. She lived the first 10 years of her life on the streets of West Los Angeles before we met. We spent six and a half years together in LA before I brought her with me to Washington state, where she passed a year and a half later at the age of 18. With my heart broken, I wrote “Paw Prints on the Windshield,” a story about our unexpected eight-year journey together.

An online ad for the book resulted in readers sending me messages and photos. Love is strong. It seems a sweet little feline, who spent most of her life cowering in two square city blocks, now travels the world.
